The Pratt & Whitney, Hot Section Engineering (HSE) team in Florida is looking for an experienced, motivated, high energy turbine airfoil design engineer to work with the HSE Power Systems CIPT and Turbine Airfoil Design Part Family, working in a team environment as part of an integrated product team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the designs of multiple hot gas path airfoils and outer air seals for the Power Systems IGT aftermarket business and will contribute to the overall design, analysis, fabrication, and validation of these novel structures.
Significant interaction with internal and external customers on these important programs is expected. Therefore, the candidate must be able to communicate well - verbally, through technical reports, and design review presentations - with all levels of module center engineering, the Power Systems business unit, external vendors, and engine customers. This individual should also be capable of managing outsourced design and product definition efforts on multiple platforms, simultaneously.
Some travel required (10%) for vendor meetings.
