AutoReqId 36253BR Function Engineering Division Conveyance Systems Division External Job Title Lead Conveyance Design Engineer - Broomfield CO or Ft Worth TX Job Description Eaton Corporations Aerospace Division is seeking a Lead Conveyance System Engineer to support our Conveyance systems group and COMAC C919. This position can be based at our Broomfield, CO or Ft Worth, TX location.
Oversee progression of systems design and installation with respect to performance, analysis, producibility, functionality and maintainability. The position manages applicable technical aspects of Statement of Work and meets customer expectations; leads shipside installation support activities; performs preliminary and detail design and integration of conveyance, structures, engines, and landing gear systems for major OEM's and their Tier-1 partners/suppliers; manages interface and datasets between multi-functional, multi-location design teams; defines system-level and localized trade studies in support of program requirements with respect to weight, cost and schedule; maintains performance metrics; manages technical data packages from preliminary design through release.
Additional task include: Requirements Management and Assessment, Qualification Planning, Maintain integrity of program performance in regards to customer expectations within weight, schedule and budget; develop and document new and improved processes/procedures to ensure and sustain performance growth; effectively communicate the performance on the program in regards to management and customer expectations/deliverables; manage workload within design teams; identify and lead conveyance opportunities for business growth.
Fundamentals applied include: Feature based solid modeling techniques for manufacturing, Design for Six Sigma, developing team bench strength.
Manage engineered solutions for systems integration programs to meet customer expectations within budget. Analyze specific situations, problems and issues and make optimum decisions that best meet the requirements of the customer and company Provide producibility, design-for-manufacturing, and production readiness reviews. Provide managerial and technical leadership internally and externally to maintain company integrity Communicate and promote Voice of Customer for positive sustained performance Lead team of engineers and drafter to meet end item objective and deliverables Verifies projects for accuracy prior to final release as required. Lead lean and six sigma efforts to reduce design lifecycle and increase quality.
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements BSME Expeirence designing air managment systems, environment control systems (ECS) or high pressure ducting CAD experience preferrably Unigraphics or CATIA Applied knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles At least five (5) to seven (7) years aerospace systems integration design experience. Proven effective management style Region North America - US/Puerto Rico Country United States
