Dow AgroSciences (DAS) is seeking to fill a Lead Architect position within the Information Technology and Data Analysis (ITDA) function. This role will help to set the architecture direction for all R&D systems in Dow AgroSciences. The architecture needs to be aligned with Dow AgroSciences product development processes.
The technical focus of such an architecture is * data capture and management * support of R&D workflows * sample tracking and management * data integration and reporting * technology exploration and evaluation This role requires close collaboration with Architects across Dow. This role will be responsible for making and representing key architecture decisions on behalf of ITDA.
This position is located in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
* MS in Computer Science, IT, Bioinformatics, Information Management or a related discipline. * Minimum of 5 years professional experience. * Strong analytical thinking, resulting in impactful, pratical, and implementable architecture decisions. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing architecture that aligns with business needs. * Ability to lead cross functional teams to meet business critical timelines. * Previous experience as a hands-on software/database developer is strongly desirable. * Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering database integration and data reporting strategies in a complex R&D environment. * Significant experience in data management and data integration. * Significant experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows. * Preference will be given to candidates having worked with scientists in a life sciences R&D environment, a demonstrated enthusiasm for solving complex problems, and a demonstrated track record.
