Layout Inspector II~ Requisition Number 8958BR Job Function Engineering Business Unit Group Engineered Products & Solutions Location NJ-Dover Job Status Full-Time Relocation Eligible No Minimum Education Required High School or GED Minimum Years of Experience Entry Level Minimum Travel Required None Position Description Position Overview The Layout Inspector II performs accurate dimensional inspection of all tooling, fixtures and complex castings using customer drawings, specifications and Alcoa requirements in a minimum supervision environment.
Essential Job Functions
. Accuracy, completeness of the layout report (including all sketches, charts, etc.) in a timely manner. . Performs 1st article and partial dimensional inspections of gages, fixtures, and castings with little supervision . Planning of assignments to determine proper inspection method. . Advancement of methods/ideas for cost reduction. . Careful use and maintenance of all standard inspection tools. . Maintains a clean, organized work station. . Demonstrated abilities to perform casting-to-gage correlations and gage/fixture design verifications. . Other duties as assigned by supervision. . Inspect gauges & fixtures and correlate designs to castings B/P. . Perform more complex casting inspection with accuracy. . Use computer to collect and report layout results. Basic Qualifications . Must meet Export Control Regulations (ITAR) . High School Diploma (2 Years college education in engineering highly preferred) Preferred Qualifications . College level math (focus on trigonometry) . Excellent Computer Skills . Knowledge of customer and Alcoa Howmet specifications and standards. . Prefer 1-2 years manufacturing experience using metrology tools
