JTAC SME/Senior Engineering AnalystJTAC SME/Senior Engineering Analyst Location: Fort Polk, LA Salary Range: Competitive Compensation Benefits: Excellent Benefits Package Employment Type: Full Time Company / Department: i3 - CSS Description: The JTAC SME / Senior Engineering Analyst will operate and support the Air Force Synthetic Environment for Reconnaissance and Surveillance (AFSERS) for the Green Flag-East (GFE) Live-Virtual-Constructive (L-V-C) training environment and the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC). The JTAC SME / Senior Engineering Analyst will interface with GFE, JRTC and other organizations and locations to establish a high fidelity, high optempo, distributed multi-echelon training capability supporting a Joint Terminal Attack Controller-to-Joint Force Air Component Commander (JTAC-to-JFACC) GFE training environment, with a secondary, high visibility mission to support associated Army Brigade Combat Team JRTC training. The JTAC SME / Senior Engineering Analyst will coordinate the development and integration of the networks, unit?level nodes, modeling and simulation capabilities, data bases, associated training, and mission execution. The selected candidate must demonstrate a history of exceptional initiative and mission focus, as well as knowledge of Air Force and Army doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures associated with GFE and JRTC training objectives, operations and end-to-end processes. Training will be provided to the successful candidate so that they become proficient in the configuration and use of the AFSERS and other associated Virtual and Constructive software and hardware.
Primary Duties:
1. Install, configure, operate and maintain COTS and GOTS software in support of GFE training objectives.
2. Coordinate the installation, operations and maintenance of the AFSERS and associated networks and radio frequency distribution capabilities to meet GFE and JRTC objectives.
3. Identify user-requirements, key processes, associated virtual training capabilities, use cases, and L-V-C configurations essential for meeting GFE and JRTC requirements.
4. Coordinate the planning and execution processes to ensure full support for GFE and JRTC operations.
Additional Duties:
1. As candidate becomes proficient with training software, the candidate will train instructors and operators in the configuration and operation of the COTS and GOTS software.
2. Perform any and all on-site tasks necessary for a safe, secure, and professional operation.
3. Assist in the maintenance of databases related to the GOTS software and customer installations.
4. Assist in the coordination with JRTC and Fort Polk in specialized areas, to include frequency clearance, safety, security, information assurance, and environment.
