.:: Essential Job Duties: The individual selected will be responsible for the simulation hardware, JCATS and Linux software and systems administration and the operations of all equipment during simulation exercises. He/She will be responsible for the programming of all simulation job control and database application programs and will identify, develop and implement application programs to improve database automation for simulation models. Additionally will supervise, reach and mentor the Royal Saudi Land Forces technical staff.
.:: Mental/Physical Requirements: Excellent Communications Skills, both verbal and written are required. Must be able to travel unassisted to US and foreign locations. Must be able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material. Applicant must possess patience and sense of political understanding when dealing with colleagues from Middle Eastern Countries. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
.:: Education/Experience Requirements: Advanced Knowledge of worldwide weapons systems and tactical vehicles is required. Must be fully certified JCATS Trainer/Instructor; must have attended a 120 hour JCATS course and must be a JCATS SME. On the job experience over time, demonstrating SME level JCATS knowledge may substitute formal training. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of exercise design. Must be able to generate and edit JCATS terrain using Terrain Editor. Must possess advance knowledge of Geodesic and UTM. Must have basic Linux operating system knowledge. Must be a Certified Database Administrator.
