International Manufacturing Process Engineer

Overall: Internationally based in India for 1 year or more to Trouble-Shoot manufacturing process problems and issues, relating to tooling and procedures for the production line. Maintain the integrity of the part process. Determine and facilitate what is required to sustain an efficient manufacturing system. Lead continuous improvements in regards to Tooling, Set-ups and process stability.

Key Accountabilities: 

1. Maintain Stamping and Spin tooling by managing repair & maintenance to ensure the integrity of part production 

2. Facilitate in specific team activity to solve customer part issues or problems

3. Responsible project management relating to continuous improvement procedures and methods to improve efficiency and reliability

4. Handle some concept tool design projects to provide possible modifications for increased tool efficiency

5. Coordinate troubleshooting activity of machine technicians ,tool room personnel to identify and resolve tooling problems and failures

6. Consult with project level engineers regarding tool design & modification and machine compatibility issues

7. Manage forms, which include, bill of materials, ECN’s, routings, internal deviations and work orders and processing control documents

8. Submit weekly updates as it relates to key manufacturing issues and  or  production roadblocks

9. Help facilitate and guide REP team with AJR Technology Transfer

Technical Know-how/Qualifications: 

Minimum 2 year Associates Degree Manufacturing Engineer; 

2-4 years manufacturing experience

Formal Pre-Requisites:

•Ability to Travel to Countries Overseas

•Ability to be stationed over seas for long periods of time

•Knowledge of measuring instruments both English and Metric

•Tool design

•Machine and CNC controls background

•Manufacturing processes

•Knowledge of tool room processes

•Systematic problem solving

•QS 9000   TS16949 procedures

•CAD, UG, AUTOCAD

Informal:

•Project management

•Computer software (Word, Excel,Ppt)

Problem Solving:

Handling multiple process issues as it relates to identifying reasons for defects in finished parts, determining whether it is Raw material, Tooling or Machine related. Resolve set up problems or Manufacturing issues and delays by determining whether it is a tooling issue or it is a problem with the machine in its programming or mechanical malfunctions.

Internal systems including; Control Plans, CAD designs; Production and Tool & Die history records; QS documents of production runs; Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.

Process Stability, Loss of production, Set-up efficiency, Bad parts to customer causing the Cost of Quality and or loss of the job and Customer. Responsible for the Technology Handoff  to the REP team.

Accurately and timely Promotes efficient part production and quality part delivery to Customer that could increase product demand and increase job base, ultimately increase of profits to Company.
