Intern Student Engineer
The selected individuals will be assigned to the Boeing Commercial Aircraft Team at the Boeing - Charleston, SC site on the Design Engineering (DE) Team. These positions are designed to expose engineering students to real world experience. The interns will work with lead engineers and/or Managers to participate in Design Engineering activities that support the production line of the 787 Dreamliner. They will work as team members and interact with lead/project engineers, customers, and partners. Typical tasks may include assisting in developing work change packages for mechanical or electrical, reviewing requirements, attending Program engineering reviews, coordinating the change engineering packages, and attending Design Engineering status reviews. The Design Engineering Team is working corrective actions and other design issues with the manufacturing, liaison, and quality engineers to produce the next generation of composite large bodied aircraft in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Preference will be given to candidates with a decided major meeting the classification standards for Engineers in Design, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related disciplines (i.e., Mathematics, or Physics). Summer internship programs run May 2012 through August 2012. Job will be located in North Charleston South Carolina, working partner support for Structural, Systems, and/or Electrical Engineering 787. Employees will be receiving the South Carolina Boeing Benefits structure.
