Intern Student Engineer
Perform design and development of state-of-the art communication systems for space-based applications. Activities and duties will include system architecture definition, trade studies, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, performance and design verification. Project assignments take into account the Coop/Intern's academic background, interests and other needs. The Coop/intern may join an existing program and work with senior employees who will provide guidance and assistance on a task or may work independently on a specific effort with staff support.
Competencies
Academic and/or coop/intern experience should include exposure to any of the following: communication theory and systems, RF/microwave design and theory, digital signal processing, waveform design, optical communications and antenna theory. Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to plan and execute, learn quickly, problem solve, communicate effectively, and demonstrate initiative and teamwork.

High school diploma or GED.
Other Job related information
Candidates who are working towards a BSEE or MSEE (Bachelor or Master Electrical Engineering) with emphasis in communications, DSP (digital signal processing), Radio Frequency (RF)/Microwave, Antennas, Optical or Networked Communications, or Physics. Prefer at least 2 years completed and a GPA of 3.5 or above. This is a Co-op position. Clearly state your major, month/year of graduation and GPA on your resume.
