Instrumentation Technician
The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling and disassembling electronic instruments used in testing vehicles. Calibrate, test, and repair instruments to insure they function and measure properly. Fabricate and install fixtures, bucks and other fastening devices necessary to permit the installation of instruments in various test conditions. Work extensively in preparing and disassembling instruments for vehicle crash testing.
Basic Qualifications: • Minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Electronics or similar discipline
• Minimum of State Certification in Electrical
• Minimum 2 years auto service and electronics experience
• Possess basic computer skills utilizing MS Office
• Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: • A.S.E. certified
• 3 years auto dealership service/electronics experience
• Able to work in a team environment
• Flexible to work on 1st or 2nd shift (3rd if needed), holidays, weekends
• Strong emphasis on teamwork and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Focus on electrical diagnostics of vehicle and airbag systems a plus
