Reporting to the Supervisor, Central Planning & Scheduling, the Planner will focus on Instrument/ Electrical discipline when supporting the Operating, Maintenance, Services and Projects Teams by providing high quality, fully planned job packages for future non-routine maintenance, project and turnaround work. Specific responsibilities will include: * Development of a detailed job plan within SAP that will include the identification of required resources, estimated task durations, and the identification of all materials and services required for execution of the identified work. * Work closely with Project Managers and Field Supervision to understand full scope of assigned Projects to identify all materials and services required for execution of identified work. * Working in cooperation with Operating Department Turnaround Management Teams to assemble job packages for use by the Turnaround Execution Team, and will provide ongoing planning services to the Turnaround Team during execution. * Assembly of fully planned work into formal job packages for transport to Department Maintenance, Services, and Projects Groups for execution. * Participation in functional focus groups and will at times provide cross functional coverage within the Planning and Scheduling Group. Qualifications of the position include: * Grade 12 education and a two-year technical diploma or a three or four year technologist diploma or a minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial processing plant, a maintenance trade or equivalent experience in the maintenance or operations field. * Previous Construction / Project Planning experience would be an asset * Ability to handle a large and varied workload. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills. * Working knowledge of computer tools (Primavera, SAP, databases, MS Office) The town of Redwater has playgrounds, park areas, ball diamonds, soccer pitches, a swimming pool, a running track, a nine-hole golf course, indoor and outdoor skating facilities, a curling rink, a skateboard park and a campground.
