Inside/Outside Cable Plant CAD Technician Location: Qatar Req Number: SD-MEO-ARCENT-QT-TDL36-19114 Position Description: Job Title: Inside/Outside Cable Plant CAD Technican ' Serve as the communications E&I network CAD Technician providing architectural level drawings and detailed plans to accommodate the planning and installation inside and outside plant cable engineering and installation projects using CAD applications such as AUTOCAD and traditional by-hand drafting ' Maintain original electronic and hard copies and secure duplicate copies of all CAD or by-hand developed plans in accordance with unit electronic and hard copy file systems ' Identify, assesss and recommend organizational improvement to CAD drafting procedures, processes and software ' Coordinate with planning personnel in other units, higher headquarters and, as required, US Government and other governmental agencies to ensure compatibility and standardization of interfacing systems ' Provide minimal, un-certification level training to team members for CAD systems as a tertiary duty ' Provide technical input to exercise, contingency, and operations plans ' Assist in drafting policy and procedures for Government approval to ensure consistent standards for inside and outside installations ' Verify all information on communication drawings are up to date before technicians beginning to pull any cable ' Travel as tasked to support the E&I mission Experience Requirements: Experience: AutoCAD 2009, Microsoft Visio Education: Associates Degree ' CAD or 4 years equivalent military experience Security Clearance: ' Must be a U.S. citizen, have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance of SECRET or higher.
