Information Security Specialist Level III
Support the Program Security Officer (PSO) in supporting the Government Program Managers (GPMs) in day-to-day security oversight and management of program activities in defined security disciplines for active programs. Maintain and administer security policies and procedures as required by DoD, Military, and National Authorities.
� Develop, coordinate, review, and issue DD Form 254. � Establish and maintain a record file of all DD 254s issued. � Review, edit and process all Concept of Operations and Validation requests, Fixed Facility Checklists, TEMPEST addendums, and Security Operation Procedures. � Assist PSO in writing and issuing SAR facility accreditations, withdrawals, and Temporary Security Working Area approvals. � Establish and maintain physical security documentation records. � Provide advice and support new facilities initial operations and closeout of facilities no longer required. � Assist the PSO in conducting Security Reviews / Staff Assistance Visits. � Perform Information System Security Officer and ISSM duties in support of government and contractor information systems (IS) operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in approved SSAAs and SRTMs. � Attend Systems CCRBs as a voting member for status of software/hardware upgrades and deliverables, and ensure system authorizations are being implemented. � Attend CDRs/PDRs/RRRs and provide security input as required. � Develop, review and coordinate approval of system accreditations and interim approval to operate. � Conduct certification testing for all new builds and all new systems/networks for the unit and subordinates organizations. � Coordinate the development of an organizational security and education and training program designed and tailored to meet the needs of the unit. � Represent the unit and provide support, when possible, the Air Force Special Programs Educational and Awareness Council. � Assist the PSO in reviewing and coordinating Security Classification Guides and Program Protection Plans. � Perform additional security tasking as dictated by SG/KIS Program Security Officer. Experience:
� A MINUMUM of five or more years experience in providing multi-discipline security support to SCI and Special Access Program is required. � Individual will hold an ISSO certification from a Certification Authority for SAP/SAR programs. � Individual will have a MINUMUM of five years providing physical security accreditation support for SAPF and SCIFs. � Individual must have a CISSP certification.
Familiarity of general knowledge of security regulations:
� NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, NISPOM Supplement Overprint/Implementer, Joint DoDIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, NSTISAM/2-95, NSTISSI 4009, DCID 6/3, DCID 6/4, DCID 6/9, SAF Policy Guidance, AFIs and AFP as applicable
