Industrial Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling/Tool Design)
Responsibilities:
* Shop Tooling Design
* Jigs
* Fixtures
* Templates
* Robotics
* Prepares plant floor layout/design within SolidWorks and/or Digital Manufacturing Solutions software. Includes the following:
* Work Cells
* Staging areas
* Kanban areas
* Tact time calculations
* Process flow
* Ergonomics
* Cycle times
* Timing charts
* Resource allocations
* Maintains Manufacturing Engineering change data base.
* Updates and communicates all Engineering change requirements to the plant as required.
* Floor plan/work layouts using SolidWorks design software.
* Develop and update all process instruction sheets.
* Creates and maintains part bill of materials.
* Works with and supports Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement projects
* Updates the part master.
* Performs other job related duties as assigned by Management
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other related discipline applicable to the position (Mechanical, Electrical etc.)
Position Requirements:
****** Must have tool design experience & SolidWorks design software experience*****
* 5 plus years of Industrial Engineering Experience
* Proficiency in SolidWorks design software
* Proficiency in Microsoft office suits including outlook, word, excel and power point
* A willingness to learn other Manufacturing Engineering software as required
* Maintains a continuous review and control of work accomplished under incumbent's jurisdiction to ensure maintenance of quality, quantity and timeliness of performance
* Works with supervision to coordinate activities to develop and further improve methods, systems and controls used within their groups
* Establishes and maintains facilities/equipment planning on an ongoing basis premised upon known and contemplated production programs
* Develops proposals for new work as assigned by the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering
* Develops, maintains and updates procedures, Departmental Instructions Etc. relative to improving performance in areas of responsibility
* Keeps the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering informed on all matters of significance which impacts or has potential to impact the Manufacturing responsibility
* Provides assistance to subordinates in conjunction with performance of their duties
* Determines action(s) to be taken when a decision is beyond the scope of their authority
