Industrial Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Maintains Manufacturing Engineering change database.
* Updates and communicates all Engineering change requirements to the plant as required.
* Organizes and updates part manuals and internal procedures.
* Updates and maintains part print files for latest revision levels.
* Floor plan/work layouts using SolidWorks.
* Process flow time studies.
* Ergonomics.
* Lean Manufacturing/5S.
* Develop and update all process instruction sheets.
* Prepare paperwork related to Engineering such as FEMA's, Process Flows, timing charts and process records.
* Part routers internal and external.
* Creates and maintains part bill of materials.
* Updates part item master.
* Apply past experience and knowledge into tool development. Improve existing tooling to be more up-to-date and robust. Develop new tooling that will ultimately contribute to cost reductions.
* Performs other job related duties as assigned by management
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, or other related discipline applicable to the position
Position Requirements:
* 5+ years of Industrial Engineering
* Proficiency in computers, Auto Cad 2000+ and/SolidWorks, Microsoft office suites including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point and a willingness to learn other Manufacturing Engineering software as required.
* Maintains a continuous review and control of work accomplished under incumbent's jurisdiction to ensure maintenance of quality, quantity and timeliness of performance; works with subordinate supervision to coordinate activities and develop and further improve methods, systems and controls used within their groups.
* Establishes and maintains facilities/equipment planning on an ongoing basis premised upon known and contemplated production programs.
* Develops proposals for new work as assigned by the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering.
* Develops maintains and updates procedures, Departmental instructions etc. relative to improving performance in areas of responsibility.
* Keeps the Mgr of Manufacturing Engineering informed on all matters of significance which impact or has potential to impact the manufacturing responsibility.
* Provides assistance to subordinates in conjunction with performance of their duties and to determine action(s) to be taken when a decision is beyond the scope of their authority.
