Illustrator/Drafter
|
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
To prepare simple or repetitive drawings using computer drafting equipment or standard hand drafting techniques to communicate engineering ideas and information in support of engineering functions.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.)
1. Prepares mechanical or electrical drawings of components and assemblies. Checks dimensions of parts, material to be used, relationship of one part to another and various parts to the whole. Makes revisions as necessary.
2. Prepares drawings, charts and tables of easily visualized parts or equipment from sketches or markups.
3. Maintains individual CAD files and logs.
4. Operates blue print machine to make blueprints of printed material. Operates other reproduction equipment to make copies. Sorts and organizes blueprints for package review. May be responsible for drawings files.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
6. Adobe Illustrator is essential - Adobe Photoshop is a plus
III. SUPERVISION:
A. Responsibilities for Work of Others Supervises no employees.
B. Supervision Received Receives close supervision. Work is reviewed at various stages. Work results are checked thoroughly.
IV. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
A. Within Company Within immediate office or unit.
B. Outside of Company No outside contact.
V. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
A. Physical Tasks Exerts normal physical energy.
B. Working Conditions Normal office environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May work second or third shift.
VI. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
