JOB DESCRIPTION Aid our federal customers to design, architect and implement their Enterprise Management solution using the full HP BTO suite of applications. This position primarily helps customers apply HP BTO software solutions to the ITIL v3 space of Incident/Event management, Performance/Availability/Capacity management, and Service Level Management. Engage in the consultative process with our customers to allow them to achieve their mission objectives better, faster and cheaper. A customer engagement may require assistance with one specific tool, a couple of tools, or the whole HP BTO suite. Integration with other Enterprise Management tools is very probable. Candidate must enjoy to work as the sole HP consultant on a job or as part of a HP team. Lead the assessment, evaluation, planning, architecture, design, integration, and implementation of major network, system, application, and enterprise service management products including HP OpenView, Tivoli, CA Unicenter, BMC Patrol, etc. · Understand standard management protocols and technologies, e.g. SNMP, and participate and contribute in IETF, OASIS, and other standard bodies and industry forums. · Analyze and provide recommendations for management system, product integration, implementation and deployment in support of enterprise-wide strategies for provisioning, operations, monitoring, maintenance and customer service. · Analyze and develop management architecture concepts, alternatives and strategies. · Develop and implement prototypes, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and hands-on engineering of ESM solutions. Prototyping and integration of enterprise management services, including network, system, application, and service monitoring with SNMP, web-based management technologies, Web Services technologies and management integration products and technologies. · Analyze and provide recommendations for the tailoring and use of operational process models based on accepted industry standards, e.g. ITIL and TMF. * Must be able to attain an active security clearance of TS/SCI. CI Poly or LS Poly strongly preferred but not required. * Must live in or be willing to relocate at own expense to Washington DC, Northern Virginia or Maryland region. * BS or equivalent and 10 years related experience or MS or equivalent and 5 years related experience or PhD and 3 years of related experience. * Preferred: BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline. Advanced degree desired. * 5 or more years of experience in systems planning, operations, architectures and management, network management, application development and monitoring. * Network engineering and integration with an emphasis on systems integration is desired. * Hands-on experience with a variety of network and systems management tools such as HP OpenView Tivoli, CA Unicenter, or BMC Patrol Enterprise Manager is required. * Experience in planning, architecting, developing and implementing cross-product integrated enterprise management solutions as well as experience with ITIL planning and implementation is highly desired. ~
