Need Parsons is seeking a Highway Engineer to perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard highway design techniques. The Engineer at this level has experience and an increasing proficiency in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and Parsons' procedures. You will prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs as well as requisitions for equipment and materials. In addition you will r eview small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses. You will p repare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents associated with highway projects. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.
Qualifications: Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering
5 years of engineering highways with Caltrans experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred
Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
