Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree or completion of technical trade school courses, or equivalent experience. Completion of training courses in basic supervision. Bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of experience. Or AA in disciplinary field can substitute for two years of experience. Or equivalent qualifying experience. 12 years experience performing high voltage testing on VLF/LF transmitters and VLF/LF antenna components at RF frequencies. Must have extensive experience in high voltage testing protocols, including single point control, access control, and equipment maintenance. O&M at VLF military transmitter facilities desired. Experience with suspending insulators and testing of composite bushings required.
Must have positive and professional attitude. Must have attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, schedule and work under the pressure of deadlines. Must have ability to work independently and resolve problems without supervision to managing multiple projects, priorities, and compete demands simultaneously. Must have ability and initiative in developing, implementing and streamlining processes. Must have outstanding organizational skills and the proven ability to take and follow instructions. Must be able to work flexible hours (normal business hours and after hours to meet deadlines) and must be able to travel. Job Description: Position will support the Kingston, Washington office as a High Voltage Testing Technician. Conceptual design, design, and implementation of new and upgrades to transmitter facilities. EOE M/F/D/V
