.:: Essential Job Duties: Operate light, medium, and Heavy U.S. Army trucks specified below. Perform PMCS on motor vehicles in accordance with each applicable Technical Manual and all operator level service support. Applicants will participate in convoy training at remote locations for up to 14 days on multiple occasions. Individuals will be required to wear load bearing equipment, Kevlar helmet, and protective vests. Operate and perform basic operator level communication tasks; to include installation, PMCS and operating a SINCGARS, MTS and other communication equipment as required for this position.
.:: Mental/Physical Requirements: Must pass a Government Visual Acuity Test for color-blindness and possess a Class B or higher Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Must also be able to obtain a Government Motor Vehicle operator's permit for specified US Army wheeled vehicles within 30 days of employment. Capable of learning how to fire an M16A2 rifle with blank ammunition and perform map reading. Must be physically fit, able to lift 70 pounds and climb into high vehicles. Must be 18 years of age, or older, and able to work in field conditions. Applicant selected will be subject to a government drug screening.
.:: Education/Experience Requirements: Must have demonstrated a good driving record for last 5. Applicants must receive a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) or Entrance National Agency Check (ENTNAC) prior to employment. As a minimum, individual must possess a valid commercial driver's license or must have held a valid military drivers license and experience for at least one (1) year operating experience utilizing all of the following vehicles M998 ' HMMWV, M923, M925 and M927 ' 5 Ton Truck, or at least one (1) year operating experience utilizing all of the following vehicles M977 ' HEMTT, M1086 ' FMTV, M1074, M1075 ' PLS, M915A3 - Truck Tractor and M1121 - LHS. Operate and perform basic operator level communication tasks; to include installation, PMCS and operating a SINCGARS, MTS and other communication equipment as required.
