Job Description
The Health Information Management (HIM) Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees and work processes in the Health Information Management department under the direction of the HIM Manager. The Supervisor facilitates effective communication and efficiency of work flow across in the HIM Department. The incumbent will also advise the HIM Manager regarding operations and will be responsible for strategy implementation and follow-up analysis.
This is a full-time position, located at Primary Children's Medical Center.
Minimum Requirements
HIM experience including demonstration of leadership and problems solving skills required
Must have excellent interpersonal relations as well as the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, management and physicians
Working knowledge of Excel, and Word Processing required
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
