On behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration, approve major repairs and major alterations for gas turbine engine parts, consistent with the Designated Engineering Representative (DER) authority as delegated by the FAA. Conduct in depth reviews of repair design technical data packages per P&W Engineering Standard Work and verify the repair technical data is properly substantiated. Ensure the data provided allows the part to be restored to its original or properly altered condition and does not invalidate the engines Type Certification. Provide technical and regulatory mentoring to GSE Asia Repair Development Engineering staff. Assist in administration of P&W's Local Engineering Authority Program in support of the Global Service Partners business network.
Through consultation with the GSE Engineers and working within Standard Work Instructions, ensure appropriate engineering resources have been utilized during the development of the technical data, to demonstrate compliance with FAA Regulations through testing, analysis, service experience, computations, etc. Part performance characteristics such as structural strength, durability, and reliability must be considered to ensure part integrity will not be compromised and that its functional performance is not affected.
Use repair technical knowledge and experience to ensure all repair data is complete, accurate and consistent with P&W requirements for shop practices, such that all repairs and alterations are clearly presented and all limits and instructions are concise and objective.
Position is located in Singapore with expected minimum commitment of 3-5 years and offers the opportunity to provide a valued service and make a tangible contribution to the P&W Global Services Partners network.
Position is administered by United Technologies International Operations (UTIO) and includes Expatriate Global Assignment package.

A minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience in gas turbine engine design /development and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry is strongly desired.
Current FAA delegations per FAA Order 8110.37E, Chart E, A1-A7, 10A, 1C-7C & 10C; CFR Part 33; Special Function: major repairs & alterations is strongly desired. Multiple Use Repair delegation or ability to obtain this delegation is required.
