GMWM C2 Operator- DIRECT LABOR
. Install, operate, and maintain the following applications: GCCS, IOS, and IOW. Provides application support for the following C4I systems: IOS V1, IOS V2, IOW, GCCS COP and JOPES, and C2PC. Maintain military tactical systems and associated workstations by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting each respective system in accordance with supporting technical documentation. Rebuild systems for future exercises. Provide subject matter expertise, feedback, and recommends system upgrades for the following C4I systems: IOS, GCCS, and IOW. Develop instructional material and instructs on the functional employment of these systems. Provide instruction for all C2 Systems web and collaborative tool courses. Frequently travel to provide IOS v1&v2, C2PC instruction and onsite technical assistance. Instructs on C2 interoperability with respect to each system. Physical Demand. Work is generally sedentary except during occasional visits to off-site locations where there may be a requirement to hike short distances into training areas. There shall be a requirement to assist in moving and repositioning computer systems, servers, and other office equipment weighing no more than 50 pounds per person (e.g. two-man lift 100lbs). Work Environment. Much of the work is in an office setting; however, during certain training events there may be a requirement to operate in a spartan environment where there is potential exposure to venomous snakes, poisonous plants, steep terrain, hot and cold, dry and humid weather.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Unix System Administrator - Level 1 is desirable. Military Education: Formal operator training at any of the DOD operator courses for the above systems. Military/Government Experience: Minimum four years in command and control systems operations. Minimum three years documented experience with the installation, operation, and maintenance of Unix (Solaris), Windows NT/2000/XP, IOS v1&v2, and IOW operation and system administration is desirable. Direct participation in real world operations is desired.
