Description: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure consistent quality of all aspects of manufacturing operations. Develop and implement process improvements to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Ensure proper quality documentation is available and being followed. Develop quality requirements for manufacturing processes. Develop manufacturing bills of material, system diagrams and process flow diagrams to support the ERP system. Works within Engineering Change Orders systems and Manufacturing Change system. Communicates with all level staff. Shows dependability and discipline in a fast paced Manufacturing Engineering department. Performs all other given assignments or duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited College or University with 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years industry specific experience or an Associates and a minimum of 5 years directly applicable experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment will be considered. Or in lieu of degree, a U.S. Department of Education accredited high school diploma or equivalent required and a. combination of certifications. A minimum of 7 years direct manufacturing engineering experience with an automotive or heavy truck manufacturer, or tier 1 supplier to the same will be considered. Strong understanding of Process Flow and ERP/MRP systems and Bill of Material generation. Able to read blueprints, understand engineering documents, and work closely with members of the engineering team. Systems and creative thinking capabilities. Experience PFMEA is a must. Efficient with Microsoft desktop applications (i.e.; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access). Strong communication skills and able to work independently. Self motivated individual and must be able to effectively balance a large work load. Individual must work in a safety conscious manner compliant with the company's safety policies and procedures.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Experience in an ERP/MRO system is encouraged yet not required. 3-D modeling experience with SolidWorks or another 3D CAD design system is desired.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Work location is in Afghanistan. Applicant must relocate.
Must be able to work weekends, overtime, holidays, and any shift if required. Position may require travel periodically.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
