Forge Utility Operator
Position Summary / Key Job Responsibilities: • Strong learning aptitude as 95% of the knowledge required must be learned on job
• Ability to operate machinery demonstrating strong hand-eye coordination
• Perform setups and adjustments on the equipment.
• Responsible for the inspection and quality of the product
• Interact with other departments and company personnel
• Work with & assist Maintenance techs as needed or required
• Perform some preventive and predictive maintenance equipment requirements
• Work with little supervision to complete work on time
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Complete required daily paperwork & make computer entries
• Perform other work as assigned by supervision
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment safely
Qualifications / Requirements: Minimum Qualifications include: High School diploma or equivalent and a t least 3 years in a manufacturing environment with g ood mechanical aptitude and skills. Must have the a bility to lift at least 50 lbs as needed. Computer skills are required to enter & retrieve data in a windows based system. Must have good communication skills and the a bility to operate a company vehicle.
Job Requirements: • Operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, cranes, lifting devices).
• Basic computer skills with the ability to operate windows base software systems.
• Must have a strong work ethic, great attendance, be quality and safety conscious, and a team player.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules, available for any shift including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely by following safety practices and regulations.
