AutoReqId 35021BR Function Marketing and Sales Division Electrical Sector External Job Title Field Project Engineer- Nashville, TN Job Description Eaton Corporation located in the Nashville Sales Office has an immediate opening for a field based Project Engineer. We will also consider candidates to work out of the New Orleans, LA, Indianapolis, IN or Cleveland, OH Sales Offices.
The primary responsibilities of this assignment will be to support Project Managers and enhance the value generated for customers. This is accomplished by managing technical information and customer relationships for major commercial construction and/or industrial projects. Technical responsibilities will include review of project specifications and contracts, review of order specifics prior to entry insuring technical accuracy, management of technical changes to the bill of material, coordination and interpretation of plant drawings, leveraging centralized resources for the creation of submittal packages, closure of warranty issues, review of operations and maintenance manuals, and other various technical responsibilities. The field based project engineer will work independently on daily tasks, leverage centralized resources to manage documentation, and only support field based project managed orders. This position will take direction from local Project Managers and report into a Regional Manager - Project Management.
Please note that relocation is not provide with this position. Only candidates within the immediate graphic area will be considered. Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements A BS/BA degree is required with a strong preference for engineering or other technical degrees. The successful candidate must possess strong technical sales aptitude, market channel knowledge, power distribution application expertise, interpersonal, customer service, and computer skills. Computer skills should include experience with Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Internet applications, Microsoft Office applications, and other product configuration tools. A candidate must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong organizational skills. There is preference for a candidate with prior sales, sales support, or electrical industry experience.
