F117 Hardware Customer Support Engineer

P&W F117 engine program that powers the C-17 aircraft has an opening for a motivated, self-starting Compression System Mod Center (CSMC) Hardware Customer Support Engineer (CSE) as part of the Military Customer Support & Services (MCSS) group.
Responsibilities include:
- Represent F117 Hardware CSE as a member of Engineering's IPTs and F117/PW2000 Technical IPMT
- Perform as primary technical interface between Pratt & Whitney and all customers on assigned hardware
- Monitor daily reports from Field Service Reps (FSR) and collect/analyze field data
- Provide timely complete responses to customer and FSR technical questions and track completion in the MERLIN systems
- Lead investigations to identify root cause and corrective action of engine hardware anomalies
- Communicate issues with field reps, customers and internal management
- Present major issues and solutions to customer and program management in various high level meetings such as IPMT, Propulsion User Conference (PUC), and PTM (Propulsion Technical Meeting)
- Develop and implement logistics plans for corrective actions in the field. Brief status at the monthly Support Integrated Product Team (SIPT)
- Use formal engineering change process, Team Center, EA, and Service Bulletins to drive improvements to hardware
- Develop maintenance procedures and coordinate with customer for proper incorporation and updates in the Tech Order (T.O.), Engine Manual (EM) and Maintenance Manual (MM)
- Establish, coordinate with customers, and implement actions plans to ensure jet engine fleet safety, reliability, maintainability and supportability
- Generate issue charts and position/information paper to document major issues and solution
- Use field experience/data to influence new designs for supportability, maintainability and life cycle cost
- Develop forecasts for hardware usage rates at Flight line and Depot maintenance
Some travel required. Must have ability to obtain and maintain in good standing a security clearance.
