Job Description
Working under the direction of the ERP Information Technology Lead, the ERP Software Engineer will work closely with Intermountain’s other business analysts, subject matter experts, and external consultants to support system-wide transformational initiatives to significantly improve the structure and operations of each functional area including, but not limited to, business process standardization and automation leveraging the Oracle PeopleSoft and E-Business Suite ERP solutions.
The Software Engineer works effectively across the entire software development life cycle. This includes requirements definition, prototyping, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of the day-to-day operation of production systems. The Software Engineer is expected to deliver working solutions to complex business problems according to agreed upon timelines and budgets to support the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare.
Professional in most aspects of software programming and development. Abilities encompass a broad knowledge within the software development domain. Typically implements designs developed by others, adhering to enterprise standards and best practices. Is able to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction. Works as a team player, providing ideas and support to peers and the development team leadership.
This position will work with confidential and proprietary information that requires a signed IT Employee Invention and Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Systems OR five or more years of work experience in a professional software environment. Intermountain verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment.
- Two or more years of professional software development experience in Java, .NET or other main stream object-oriented programming language
- Experience architecting software applications
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
- Database development experience with Oracle, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing with PeopleSoft including PeopleCode and PeopleTools
- Experience with Oracle SOA Suite or ESB
