Environmental Health & Safety Multi Family Manager M
The EHS Sr. Policy Analysis leader is a member of the Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Strategic Management Team responsible for leading a team of senior EHS technical professionals conducting analysis of current and pending environmental regulations and legislation in support of Boeing Government Operations. Key roles include working with the Enterprise Strategy integration team to maintain a working set of EHS related enterprise positions; develop and manage visibility systems for pending EHS regulations and legislation; support EHS Risk Management system by identifying and providing status on areas of potential regulatory and legislative risk; support strategic policy making efforts with technical analysis as required. The leader will also participate as a member of the Enterprise Chemical Management Integration team with regard to domestic chemical regulation and legislation developments. The leader represents functional EHS as the prime internal and external contact on regulatory service contracts and interacts directly with regulators on external engagement strategies. The Leader interacts with managers and executives concerning legislative and regulatory policy matters of significance to the company.
Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
Competencies :
Candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of environmental and safety policy trends and their global and regional implications to The Boeing Company. Comprehensive understanding of US government regulatory and legislative processes at the state, federal level as well as broad understanding of key international policy issues and mechanisms. Experience supporting strategy development processes and integration of enterprise activities. Strong project management and organization skills required. Must be experienced in supporting cross functional, geographically dispersed teams and projects. Strong interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills required. Must have experience working with people at all levels of an organization, including senior executives. Experience in multiple business units and functions preferred. Due to small core team model leader must be able to lead teams, as well as create both concepts and actionable content.
