Entry Systems Engineer
Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector is seeking a Systems Engineer 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Layton, Utah.
Realize the rewards of conquering a new challenge performing software safety and independent verification and validation analysis. This includes performing detailed evaluation of embedded software to verify that software requirements are correctly implemented in the design and code of embedded computers and that the resulting code does not contain embedded safety hazards. This job requires skills in assembly language analysis as well as HOL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Nuclear Surety Cross Check Analysis Project which is a 12 year IDIQ contract for performing independent verification and validation on embedded military software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Performing detailed evaluation of embedded software to verify that software requirements are correctly implemented in the design and code of embedded computers and that the resulting code does not contain embedded safety hazards.
• Documenting analysis performed and resulting anomalies identified.
• Presenting findings to peers, customers, and management.
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Technical bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science, and knowledge of both assembly language and HOL programming.
• Zero to 5 years of experience
• Applicants need to demonstrate that they can perform analysis activities including problem solving and identifying potential types of anomalies associated with software.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in performing analysis on assembly and C code
• Experience with embedded weapon systems, particularly missiles
• Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
