Brief Description
This position will be mainly responsible for automotive sensor design and application that comes from customer requirement. Work individually, with a team or global engineering team to finish product design, carrying out test, completing documentation and launch to production. May involve into production in global make site, or global suppliers. Provide technical application support for new business opportunities. Cooperate with quality engineer to fix issues from customer returns, production line, and supply failures. Additional documentation managing work on TS certification is also required.
Detailed Description
· Understand Sensata's sensor products and related technology. · Carry out product design that includes design in sensing element and package for automotive application. Complete all related drawings, documentations (including DFMEA) and release in internal system. · Design product validation plan, carry out test, and complete test report. · Fixture design for engineering lab, sample build and production line. · Visiting customer to providetechnicalintroduction, provide solution for new opportunity,or fix field issue related to quality or engineering. · Quality issueanalysisfor customer returns, make site failure, or supplier quality issue. · Maintain and updateEngineering documentation server · Follow the product development process required by TS16949. · As project manager, steering project team to complete milestones within customer schedule. · Other assignment arranged by supervisor
Job Requirements
· BS or MS in mechanical engineering (0-2 years mechanical design experience is preferable). · Experience in automotive OEM, or Tier one or Tier 2 supplier is preferable.
Additional Details
· General knowledge ofplastic part design,metal fabrication techniques, FMEA and FEA. · Be skillful on3D model setup, prefer SolidWorks · Good English capability inoral, reading & writing. · Familiar with TS16949. · Preferable of broad experience base in the design of electromechanical components for high volume production (sensor preferred). · Ability to work in a team environmentwith good sense incommunications, negotiating with others, judgment and decision making, attention to detail, customer sensitivity, planning and organizing, and innovation. · Some understanding of marketing and sales.
