Description

One such opportunity exists at our Chantilly, VA location. We seek an Enterprise Architect to achieve the goals of the activities of our customer, the Enterprise Engineering, Enterprise Architecture Team requires the services of Information Technology Architects (the Architects).

In this roll, the Architects will be required to work on a cross functional team to define Enterprise Architecture models for the National System for Geospatial Intelligence, to include leveraging Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) and Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) content/models/constructs, Object Oriented (OO)and Unified Modeling Language (UML) techniques, as well as industry best practices. Specific work experience must involve the development of the following: activity and system models, use case diagrams, system functionality description, sequence diagrams, and object models or class models using OO methodology/UML. A resource with experience in IBM Systems Architect tool (formerly Telelogic), systems architecture development, and a working knowledge and understanding of XML and use case models will be preferred. The Architects must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and be capable of working closely with Technical and Non-technical government and non-government partners. An understanding of DODAF, FEAF, OO methodology’s, UML modeling, SOA Framework analysis will be critical to the success of this task.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Analyze current systems environment and work with IBM Systems Architects to derive Technical Services and definitions
* Analyze and document and model To Be/Should Be IT Architecture using UML and Object Oriented Modeling approaches
* Analyze and document and model As-Is and To Be Systems Architecture using UML and Object Oriented Modeling approaches
* Integrate multiple DODAF/FEAF based architecture products into a series of logical models and definitions to be shared across the NSG
* Present findings to technical and non-technical government/contractor resources
* Provide strong overall leadership including the ability to clearly communicate through verbal and written communications.
* Must possess a demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Top Secret Clearance / SCI access
* A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 – 10 years of IT systems and business analysis experience involving domain knowledge in DoD or IC Sectors. Preferably with the NGA or one of the other DoD IC components dealing with Intelligence.
* Experience developing EA products using UML and Object Oriented Modeling techniques
* Experience in software development lifecycle methodologies and deliverables
* Experience developing DoDAF and FEAF Models
* Working knowledge and understanding of service oriented architecture design and XML.
* Must possess a demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
* Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.
* Experience developing in IBM Systems Architect Tool (Formerly Telelogic)
* Knowledge of creating Business Use Cases and Functional Specifications
* Knowledge of identifying and producing analysis models, use cases and Component Business Models
* Familiarity with SCA, SDO, OGC, OASIS, Open Group Architectural Concepts
