AutoReqId 36642BR Function Engineering Division Industrial Controls Division External Job Title Engineering Test Technician Job Description Setup test, build test fixtures, conduct test, and document results for Engineering. Perform acceptance qualifications and evaluation testing of sub-assemblies and completed units including new and redesigned products. Troubleshoot problems and make recommendations to correct. Maintain lab equipment in working condition and keep the lab area organized.
Develop a tracking mechanism for lab projects that displays when projects are scheduled, the equipment required, project status and expected completion dates. Build fixtures, setup and execute engineering tests. Setup and configure load centers to run tests. Order supplies to do all the needed repairs. Design, maintain and repair test equipment as required. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with engineers staff. Safely work with High Voltage in a High Voltage environment. Reviewing all Engineering and Integrity reports after test are completed. Develop, follow, maintain safe lab procedures and practices. Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements Associate Degree or 2-year technical degree in related field required with 5-7 years experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills. Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little supervision. Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software aptitude is required.
