As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing and have a number of exciting positions available right now.  BE Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking an energetic, self-starter for the position of  Engineering Testing Technician with our Seating Products Group in Winston-Salem, NC.  The Engineering Testing Technician is responsible for technical functions in support of engineering dynamic and static testing activities.  Position responsibilities include:

* Ensure that dynamic test articles are set up per provided test plan and executed accordingly, employing absolute accuracy.
* Provide guidance and direction to a team of testing technicians who will set up the test articles on the crash testing sled.
* Configure test and data collection automated system to launch and gather data during 14G and/or 16G tests.
* Export data from test system for certification engineering team, and evaluate post test video with Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for final test conclusions.
* Save test data on network for future retrieval and engineering evaluations.
* Set up and perform static tests per FAA regulations, related to Technical Standard Order (TSO) specifications for seat births.
* Save static test data, including video and numerical data.
* Set up life cycle test articles; program PLC's; gather data; and save data during predetermined event intervals.  Must also save final test results.
* Assist with evaluating possible failure analysis post-test by performing additional sub-scale tests or dis-assembly of product for visual inspection.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements :
Position Requires the Following:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Prior experience working on a deceleration crash testing sled as well as experience operating the crash data control/collection computer system.
* Demonstrated ability to perform testing utilizing data control and data collection system, including some understanding of Diadem analysis and reporting software.
* Ability to read and interpret blue prints and bills of materials.
* Must have computer proficiency (e.g. Windows, Microsoft Office applications, email, etc.).
* Demonstrated machine shop skills utilizing conventional milling machines, lathe, drill press, sheet metal fabrication with experience on CNC brake press, including programming and machine set-up.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime occasionally as itional Preferred Qualifications Include:


* Experience working with and repairing Hybrid II or EuroSID crash test dummies.
* Prior experience working with programmable logic controllers, building and setting up product for reliability and/or cycle testing.
* Demonstrated experience in static testing and data control systems utilizing Diadem processing software for analysis and reporting.
