Specific Job Description Assigned to the Towed Array Depot project on the Navy Towed Systems Support Facility (TSSF) Contract. Troubleshoot, repair and test various types of Towed Array modules. Main Responsibility will be to build and repair and test SQR19,TB16,TB29Asub, 29TL, MFTA modules & various Tow Cables and required Hose Assemblies including all other ancillary equipment as necessary to support depot and fleet operations. Perform necessary module mechanical repairs in addition to electronic testing. Be an integral team member working with and taking direction from senior technicians and supervisors in order to assist with the movement of assets from one workstation to another and learn the product line repair requirements. Apply Technical Skills by following written Work Instructions, to Operate Equipment, Assemble, Pot, and Test all towcables and ancillary equipment under the direct supervision of senior technicians or Supervisor. Assist other Team Members in the Material Handling of Large Assemblies, and other duties to meet common goals. Requires supervision from area Supervisor and/or Sr. Engineering Tech. Successful candidate will be required to work mandatory overtime as needed to meet customer requirements. Candidate must be able to work various shifts when required to meet customer requirements.
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Upon the start date, this position will require a TDY Assignment in Virginia Beach, VA for training of up to 22 weeks.
New Hire and Rehire candidates for this position will be offered the LMOS benefit program. Internal candidates for this position will be able to retain their current benefit program if they are participating in the LMOS, LMES or Corporate benefit programs currently.
