Engineering Technician
Volt is looking for an excellent communicator with an Engineering background and general Farm and Machinery knowledge to work at one of the worlds largest manufacturers of agricultural equipment.
This is a 3-year Contract position, and Direct-hire opportunities exist.
Job Description:
Support Sprayer division field test activities. This position is responsible to be the liaison between the PV&V group, our dealers and customers to support field test activities. We leverage field testing with every aspect of our product development to verify and validate the product with customers.
This position is responsible to identify field test cooperators and sites that meet our requirements including hour accumulation, corner conditions, good feedback, etc.
The position requires great communication and time on the phone with dealers and customers from all over the world. The position is responsible for the logistics of parts and machines from the factory to various test cooperators, returning parts from the field and returning parts to suppliers for evaluation, etc. Many of these arrangements include shipments overseas.
The position is responsible to insure information about the machine performance in the field is entered into our tracking tools so that we can insure appropriate and timely action is taken to resolve issues.

Requirements:
Communication skills - majority of this job is being a liaison between engineers and staff in the field to insure successful testing. This includes oral and written communications. Organizational skills - this position is fast paced and involves many different projects at one time. The person must be able to shift from one project to another quickly and keep many going in the background.
General farm and machinery knowledge - this position will communicate with test cooperators and be responsible to insure information from the field is successfully entered into our tracking system for resolution. This position must be able to understand what is being said and get it communicated back correctly.
Logistic skills - this person is responsible for coordinating shipping all over the world.
