Category: ENGINEERING - WATER Description: Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) has proven to be a world leader in transportation engineering by consistently providing quality services in planning, design, construction management, and program management for a multitude of clients across the globe. PB’s St. Louis office is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate, who will be responsible for the following duties: 1. Project Management – Responsible for project cost, schedule and quality, reporting to the Water Technical Excellence Center (TEC) and Area Manager/Geography. Managing projects for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will be the primary responsibility in this area. Must be committed to the efficient production and delivery of high quality work products. 2. Technical Specialist – Support the Water TEC and Area Manager/Geography in performing planning and design of projects in the region with a focus on large infrastructure projects. Must work well in a collaborative environment. Responsible for Quality Assurance of all water-related work products generated by the St. Louis Water TEC staff. Must be an active participant in at least one professional organization. 3. Staff Supervision – Responsible for the supervision and professional development of the Water TEC staff in the St. Louis office. 4. Communication – Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable speaking in public. 5. Marketing/Business Development – Identify, pursue and win water-related projects principally in Missouri and the North Central US. Periodically support other offices Nationwide in marketing PB services. 6. Travel – It is anticipated that some overnight travel will be required. This will be either business development or project related and mostly in the North Central US. In addition to St. Louis, PB has North Central offices in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kansas. 7. Marketing Focus – The marketing focus for this position would be water transmission and wastewater conveyance. However, it is expected that the full range of PB’s water and wastewater capabilities would be marketed (with the support of additional experts).
