The Grote Company, located in central Ohio, is celebrating 40 years as the world’s leading manufacturer of precision slicing and application equipment for the food processing industry. We offer the widest range of high-quality equipment for everything from bulk slicing and portion control, to slice and apply sandwich automation.
We are searching for an Engineering Manager, who will become a key member of the senior leadership team. This person will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Engineering Manager will lead a growing team of mechanical and electrical engineers, to design custom and semi-custom stainless steel food processing equipment. The successful candidate will flourish in a customer-centric manufacturing environment, with the freedom and expectation to respond to the needs of our customers, associates, and business.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
4 year engineering degree, with on-going success with a pattern of expanding job responsibilities; especially in engineering management.
Demonstrated leadership of technical associates
Strong project management skills are required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers, sales representatives, design team members, and on-site manufacturing personnel are critical to success.
Solid understanding of methods of custom machinery construction is desired, as is experience with SolidWorks.
Domestic travel of 5% can be expected; international travel is a possibility.
