Title: ENGINEERING GROUP MANAGER, MANUFACTURING Location: USA-Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh Other Locations: Position is accountable for Manufacturing Engineering activities within the Operations organization at Integrated Optical Systems Brashear. Candidate will have direct managerial responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineers and report to the Director of Operations. Role will work closely with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Quality and Design Engineering.
Position is responsible for meeting financial objectives by forecasting manufacturing engineering and production requirements; preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions. Develop strategic manufacturing operations plan in alignment with growth objects. Calculate equipment, process, and labor capacity and requirements. Determine tooling and maintenance requirements. Develop and construct flooring layouts.
Managerial responsibilities include establishing goals and objectives for staff and coordinating Manufacturing Engineering activities; assigning/scheduling tasks and communicating expectations and deliverables. Ideal candidate will have BS in Engineering and over 10 years experience in process engineering and product engineering with a history of providing innovative solutions to technical manufacturing problems. Lean Manufacturing experience required. Solid strength in mechanical assembly and optical fabrication desired. Documented history of bringing about systematic and quantifiable change. Strong decision making skills. Ability to develop an overall plant wide roadmap for process and assembly technology.
