Role Summary/Purpose The Engineer / Technologist takes direction and provides assistance to the group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities
* Prepare and present technical data to internal customers

* Document and communicate results of technical data generated

* Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives

* Share engineering information and promote open dialogue

* Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

* Be responsible for the day-to-day production of navigation databases (NDBs), NDB production verification, problem control and reporting, and analysis and completion of corrective action as required by the Lead Nav Data Analyst

* Execute quality software applications and analyze the output to determine root cause of abnormal navigation database change activity

* Perform denied party screening on end customers to ensure adherence to ITC (International Trade Compliance) export control regulations

* Participate in the Data Quality Review Board meetings to present abnormal change activity and determine the course of action

* Actively improve the Navigation Database Quality processes and software applications

* Maintain distributed enterprise computing resources to support the production of navigation databases

* Maintain server and desktop hardware including the installation and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Windows 2008 Storage Server, Windows XP, Vista, and 7 operating systems

* Manage secure access to computing resources via Microsoft Windows Active Directory services using group policies

* Maintain familiarity with clustered computing resources including storage and servers
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Aviation Engineering

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Engineering position
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

* This position requires access to controlled technology. To abide by Export Compliance regulations candidates must have either US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Alien Status.
