Description: Seeking enior Systems Engineer to perform distributed integration and testing efforts leading to the successful integration of virtual and constructive distributed simulation and training systems. Responsibilities include development and execution of 1) A system-wide Integration & Test Plan, 2) Test Procedures, 3) Scenario development coordination, and 4) System Problem Report documentation and resolution. The candidate must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as sponsors and other DoD contractors. Strong interpersonal skills are required to coordinate a team consisting of personnel from several contractor companies. The candidate must be a self-motivated, self-starter, individual. The candidate will be required to travel to conduct tests, technical interchange meetings, and test coordination and planning meetings. Test efforts will take place in a team environment which is dynamic.
Experience in the following areas is required:
- A minimum of 6 years previous experience with DMO O&I Project testing and integration environment.
- Experience with DIS and HLA protocols, military modeling, simulation, and training, cross domain solutions, and secure systems operation in a classified environment.
- Experience with Datalink standards (Link-11 and Link-16)
- Team leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Engineering within defined engineering & development processes
- Test Coordination, Planning, and Integration and Test
Experience in the following areas is an asset:
- Military aircraft experience
- Familiarity with MITL training systems
- Understanding of standards related to distributed simulator systems
- Familiarity with COTS software tools and configuration management systems
- Previous experience with military operations, planning, and doctrine are strongly desired.
