Major Job Duties Include: Development of the Mechanical Aspects of ECU's. Provide mechanical design and development support for the projects assigned to you following the steps outlined in the Bosch Product Development Process. This shall include, but not be limited to the following: - Ensure that all internal Bosch processes are followed. - Develop quality products per the development guidelines. - Direct the activities of the assigned Simulation Engineers and CAD Designers. - Establish and document reasonable due dates and work priorities to ensure on- time completion of deliverables. - Support the Business Unit team during all phases of the project (including acquisition). - Prepare and update DFMEA, DRBFM, and Risk Assessments as required to fulfill project needs. - Develop and verify GD&T schemes for all component and assembly drawings. - Prepare and verify Tolerance Stack-ups for each design. - Support, evaluate, and approve all qualification testing requirements. - Actively participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) workshops and review meetings. - Actively participate in Scoping and Review meetings for Development Design and Tooling. - Actively participate in the supplier selection process. -Support Supplier Quality Engineer in coordination of tooling supplier activities. - Assist Supplier Quality Engineer with supplier Bosch Process Sign Off (BPSO) and PPAP for mechanical components. - Provide regular project status updates to the Mechanical Project Leader.
Minimum Job Requirements Include: - BS in Technical field required. - Minimum 3 years experience (mechanical systems). - Excellent communication and problem solving skills necessary. - Candidate must be self-driven and pro-active. - Must have the ability to occasionally travel.
Desired: - Experience with Design and Development of ECU's. - Experience with FMEA and DRBFM highly desired. - Knowledge and understanding of plastic and metal parts design. - Knowledge and understanding of GD&T techniques highly desired.
