Description: The selected candidate will perform various tasks including: project reviews, program reviews facilitation/verification of corrective actions, evaluating and investigating specifications and standards. Assignments may be in the following areas: Participate in process audits, program and product evaluations. Plan, conduct and document audits. Complete quality records and reports, and corrective / preventive action status and reports. Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and that the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and agency guidelines. Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance. Support CMMI and ISO 9000/9001, AS9100 preparation. Development/management of existing and future Quality Management Systems oriented databases. Track and verify actions from independent reviews as needed. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. BS degree in Quality Engineering or related technical field required. A minimum of 6 years of direct space hardware experience required with 10+ years preferred. The candidate must possess a strong background in Quality Systems and Quality Assurance including American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer and/or Certified Quality Auditor. Candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding and have experience with preparation for ISO 9000/9001 or AS9100 registration audits. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred qualification in Contract flow down, Program planning, Quality planning, AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, NASA Standard requirements and member of American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer and/or Certified Quality Auditor. An active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
