The Engineer will provide, obtain, manage and apply systems and specialty engineering resources to meet ICBM weapon systems. The incumbent will demonstrate skill and ability to perform complex engineering/scientific tasks including planning, analyses, trade studies, problem resolution and associated systems engineering support tasks necessary to develop, produce, deploy, operate, maintain security and test and evaluate missile, command control communications, basing, reentry and launch vehicle systems and technology; will provide analytical and programmatic support in the areas of ICBM and helicopter sustainment and modernization; management and analysis of ICBM Life Extension Programs; sustainment conferences and ICBM Long Range Requirements Planning; to include primary support to the following: transition preparation, development of LC ICBM Roadmap; problem resolution on daily issues and General Officer level briefings/presentations; be familiar with and help establish configuration control processes and procedures. Will support and participate in technical interchange meetings, program status and design reviews, program audits, progress report meetings and other meetings having significant technical content; may plan and perform specialized experiments, studies, and analysis; and interfaces with the customer to determine needs and communicate progress.
Basic Qualifications: • 10 years missile maintenance experience • AF ICBM technical training • AF training in 2M0 specialty career field • Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications: • 15 or more years of missile maintenance experience • MAJCOM experience • Top Secret clearance
