Project:
Parsons is providing the installation with quality facilities and infrastructure and emergency management services that meet mission ponsibilities within emergency management and response include providing and managing a single integrated Emergency Management (EM) program addressing the full spectrum of physical risks, threats, and passive defense measures.
Need:
Parsons is in need of an Emergency Management Specialist who will:
Respond to contingency and disaster response for major accidents and natural disasters. May be required to act as emergency response manager IAW Air Force instructions, manuals or directives. Emergency response personnel shall be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The on-call emergency response person shall be able to respond within 60 minutes during non-duty hours to the work location. Perform risk assessment and analysis; advise and assist the Incident Commander (IC) and Emer¬gency Operations Center (EOC), establish command control operations, provide communication, establish Contamination Control Stations (CCS) and monitor recovery actions. Ensure on-scene response equipment is available for the EOC and support of the incident commander and/or recovery officer. Provide training courses that satisfy customers in the following areas: appropriate environment, time-liness, quality of information, instructor knowledge, instructor professionalism, and visual aid/multimedia quality. Respond to major accidents, natural disasters, and contingencies (real or exercise) so as to minimize loss of life, human suffering, and property damage. Participate in actual mobility deployments and exercises. Develop, update, and review planning documents, including checklists and annexes. Ensure personnel assigned to EM duties are trained in required disciplines and within required time constraints.
Qualifications: Requirements:
Three years of responsible experience in emergency management or combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Three years instructor or certification.
Must demonstrate communicative, managerial, and organizational skills necessary to effectively manage operations.
• Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
• Must have attended the 3E931, 3E951, or 3E971 AETC Readiness Course
• Must have attended Radiological Emergency Team Operations School (RETOPS)
• Must have completed HAZMAT awareness, operations and technician level training and certification.
• Must be able to qualify for a SECRET security clearance.
