Frymaster, a member of the Manitowoc Foodservice family of companies, global leaders in commercial foodservice equipment, is seeking an innovative, results driven Embedded Software Engineer. In addition to industry-leading fryers, Frymaster manufactures commercial fryer filtration equipment (built-in and portable), foodservice equipment computers, water-bath rethermalizers and pasta cookers. Key responsibilities of this position include research, design and development of embedded software, in conjunction with hardware product development. Reporting directly to the Manager Electronic Engineering, this position is based in Shreveport, La. Essential Job Functions
. Formulate, design, and maintain multi-processor embedded electro-mechanical control systems (both hardware and software), using scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict and quantify operational characteristics. . Consult with software engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, including performance validation of the overall system. . Develops/maintains embedded software utilizing: in-circuit emulators (ICE), oscilloscopes, target system debuggers, LabView, etc. . Develops architectural testing procedures, test interfaces, and support documentation. . Coordinates feasibility studies, proof of concept, and development of new products. . Contributes to the development of new sensors/actuators, data communication solutions, and data networking between multiple embedded systems as well as external computer systems. . Follows the company quality standards and ensures each gate in the quality process is met. . Responsible for multiple projects for hardware and software compliance and traceability back to functional requirement specifications. Job Requirements/Working Conditions
. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in design embedded controls required. . Digital/analog hardware design experience required. . Project Management / Leadership experience a plus.
