Strong embedded software skills Proficient use of high-level programming languages such as C, Visual Studio, or C++ 16, 32 bit microprocessor implementation Creative problem solving and a customer-based perspective Software life cycle management Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Job Description:
This position reports to the Detection Engineering Manager and will be a hands-on contributor with demonstrated capabilities to work within a team. He/she will:
Apply all basic and some specialized knowledge in embedded systems firmware design Assume technical leadership of software development for individual project efforts. This may also include supervision or work direction of 1-3 junior engineers or technicians. Provide hands-on participation on cross-functional project teams in the development of new industrial products. Assure integration of designs with electrical, mechanical, optical, test and manufacturing capabilities in order to ensure successful products are delivered on time while meeting agreed product performance.
