Engine & Control Systems (E&CS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the igniters, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Software Design Engineer to develop and verify embedded software for Flight Critical Aerospace Systems. Applicants should have an interest in the design challenges of embedded real-time software utilizing basic knowledge of software, systems and electrical design principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and translate Software Requirements into a top-level software architecture
- Develop the software design from top-level architecture and customer requirements
- Code the software design in high level language such as C or Ada
- Review/evaluate requirements/design, code and test procedures produced by peers
- Develop and perform low level tests on the software product using simulator and actual target hardware using target hardware and tools such as logic analyzers and PC based communication and system simulators
- Use MS Office products (Word, Excel and Access) to assist in the development of software product and documentation
- Support organizational process improvement initiatives
- DOORS, Labview, Matlab or Simulink skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational requirements: Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Yrs. of experience: 0-5 minimum
