A large client of ours, a company that develops wireless communication technology for tracking and monitoring mobile vehicles and control stations, is hiring multiple candidates for contract positions for new product development. The RF/Electrical Technician is responsible for designing, developing, testing and validating communications product electronics circuits (including RF) and OR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Build and test prototype circuit boards for evaluation- Validate electrical designs and components- Assist in the creation of product specifications- Assist in troubleshooting packaging for environmental conformance- Interface with external laboratories for FCC and EMI conformance testing- Interface with vendors to develop first article parts sets- Assist in product BOM development- Assist in release to production or transfer documentation to CM- Design and build production test UIREMENTS:Essential:- Minimum 2 year technical degree or experience equivalent- 5+ years relevant experience - Ability to demonstrate effective use of laboratory test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, wattmeters, frequency counters, power supplies and environmental chambers.- Ability to work from a schematic to build test circuits and breadboards - Ability to supervise the development of a printed circuit board - Ability to follow detailed test plans, document test results and generate test reports in support of product test and validation efforts.- Understanding of component requirements and limits (e.g., voltage, power and thermal ratings)- Excellent soldering skillsDesirable Traits:- PADS PCB design experience.- Labview or other programming skills for test environment.- Experience with MIL-810-E shock and vibration testingThis RF/Electronics Technician position is a contract position with long-term implications, and only candidates from the Northwest are being considered at this time.
