Essential Job Functions
* Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
* Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy. Recommends resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action.
* Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommends course of action and implements as approved.
* Oversees the installation of client department-specific applications and systems. Ensures installations are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; determines revisions or updates to installation as needed.
* Coordinates testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services. Ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results. Prepares for and prescribes approaches to possible downstream implications.
* Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.

Leads and participates in highly complex system integration projects. Installs, generates, maintains, tests, debugs, and integrate system software programs with COTS/GOTS applications and support equipment, develops instructions for integration of operating system software, and modifies/maintains integration packages via releases and utilities from manufacturers in a multi-operating system and/or network operating system environment. Evaluates existing operating systems/COTS/GOTS software and recommends changes. Optimizes systems software performance. Responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, networks, CAD or GIS system software, or mathematical/scientific software packages. Engineers highly complex software that may relate directly to operating systems, their performance or devices controlled. Must have IA and CE certifications as required by DOD 8570.01-M if performing IAT or IAM functions.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field preferred
* Four or more years of experience with computer systems or networking
* Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades
* Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
* Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures

* Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and multitask
* Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
* Good communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic Qualifications: (CSA Education is a MUST - Non degree applicants will substitute 1 year of experience for each degree year they lack, subtracting from total years experience. example: 6yrs exp/no Bachelor's = 2yrs experience) Prefer Bachelor's with four (4) years, Eight (8) years in lieu with H.S. Diploma. A minimum of at least 80 classroom hours of related technical instruction is required.

Able to provide hardware troubleshooting, upgrade, and repair; Software integration TCP/IP and/or Network Management; Desktop Application Support; Windows operating systems, Server 2003, Microsoft Office software, SMS type programs, OS patching, and Antivirus applications. Customer service in support of military member instructors and POCs.

DoD 8570 mandated certifications such as Security , MCSA for server 2003 and/or MCDST are preferred.

Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
